Cozumel is a charming island, mostly renowned among the diving community and as one of the main stops for Caribbean cruises.
However, its charm and beauty attract all sorts of travelers, coming to the island for a day trip from Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya or for a relaxing week and, inevitably falling in love, as I did.
In this post, instead, I am going to talk about the amazing accommodation options that you will find in Cozumel on the VRBO platform as Airbnb has interrupted the collaboration with bloggers, and they have raised their prices outrageously.
At the end of this post I will also share practical tips on how to get to Cozumel, things to do, where to eat and more.

“The building itself has been renovated a few years back. The grounds and rooms are clean, and some units are bright if you pick the right one. Some tucked back with little outdoor space. Not lavish by any means. The pool was not up to par on this trip so we couldn’t use it, but hopefully, they got it fixed. Eloisa was a PURE PLEASURE to deal with and made check-in and out a breeze. Her kindness and friendly personality were a highlight of our stay. The pool/sand area could use a few more chairs but is comfortable on a whole. We’re in the water most of the time so not a huge issue. We come to snorkel – oh and dine out – which is an easy mile walk to the plaza.“

This beautiful spacious house is located in a quiet neighborhood of Cozumel at a close distance to the ferry, shops restaurants, and tour pick-up points.
It’s a two-story house with a swimming pool, and garden with palm trees, and guests can enjoy an outdoor gas grill and a large rooftop terrace.
There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, television, king-size bed and private patio. All bedrooms have big walk-in closets.
The living room has two sitting areas, a modern kitchen with all the necessary appliances and a custom-made dining table for six.
We are away from the busy tourist area, but it is only a few minutes’ drive to the waterfront, the restaurants, and supermarkets. Sam’s Club is within walking distance, and the beaches are 15 minutes away; the drive to get to them is beautiful.

“This condo was almost exactly what my husband, son and I were seeking. It is in a great location with several easy-to-walk restaurants and very friendly and helpful building staff. The condo has great views from every room and a wrap-around deck overlooking the ocean as well as the north and south of the island. The condo supplies were also first-rate. The one downside is that the pool was being repaired the entire week of our visit. This was a major setback for us however I still am providing a 5-star rating because the building maintenance is out of the control of the owners. You will absolutely enjoy your stay here!!“
