11 All-Inclusive Resorts in Tulum That Will Make You Never Want to Leave
Dreaming of a stress-free beach escape where everything’s taken care of? Tulum might be known for its jungle-chic boutique stays, but it’s also home to some seriously stunning all-inclusive resorts.
Yes, even the ones with private plunge pools, oceanfront yoga decks, and candlelit dinners on the sand.
All-inclusive resorts have never been popular in Tulum, which is more of a small, eco-friendly boutique hotel kind of destination.
But as in everything, things have also changed in Tulum, which is now catering to a broader audience, including all-inclusive tourists.
To be completely accurate, in Tulum, there are only two all-inclusive resorts, one of which, the Secret Resort and Beach Club, has just opened its doors. The other mentioned hotels are located between 10 and 40 km from Tulum.

Best Tulum all-inclusive resorts for adults only
An adults-only all-inclusive resort, as its name implies, is dedicated to adults; therefore, people under a certain age are not permitted to stay there. The age limit varies from 16 to 21.
Adults-only resorts are popular for many reasons. Some couples want to relax in a quiet environment without having to constantly parent their children.
Other travelers are looking to escape from the stresses of daily life and unwind in an environment that’s tailor-made for recharging and relaxing (not to mention having fun), far from screaming kids.

Secrets AKUMAL is an adults-only resort that’s known for offering guests its signature Unlimited-Luxury experience.
It has been rated very highly by guests across all the platforms I checked, with an average rating of above 4.5 stars on all of them.
One of the reasons Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya Adults Only Resort is so popular with its guests is that it’s unpretentious.

This makes it feel more like a home away from home than an impersonal resort experience.

The Hilton resort in Tulum is one of the latest additions to the Hilton collection on the Riviera Maya.
The property is situated on a secluded bay and features a private beach, 9 pools, 13 restaurants, and snack bars serving a variety of cuisines from around the world. The resort is chock-full of amenities to ensure you enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

10. Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dreams Tulum is one of the closest to Tulum among all the Tulum All-Inclusive resorts, offering the best of both worlds. You are away from the crowd but close enough for a quick trip.
This intimate setting makes this resort a great place for weddings and romantic dinners.
Just like the Secrets Resort mentioned above, Dreams is a part of the World of Hyatt. And, as such, the restaurant offers the Unlimited-Luxury experience to all its guests.
The resort is full of activities to enjoy for the whole family, including a fitness center, watersports, dive shop, Explorer’s Club for the kids, Core Zone Teens Club, evening entertainment, and much more.

11. Grand Bahia Principe Tulum ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Grand Bahia Principe Tulum is one of the most highly rated resorts in Tulum. One thing that almost all guests praise about this resort is the efficiency and friendliness of the staff.
A lot of reviews mentioned that everything from check-in to check-out was a breeze. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you enjoy your stay here.

The resort itself is surrounded by nature, and the setting is simply beautiful. There are 3 pools available to guests, one of them being “adults only”, in case you want some alone time to relax.
The Bahia Principe Tulum is perfect for any vacationer looking for an upscale getaway with all the amenities you need right at your fingertips.
There are three Bahia Principe hotels situated here: Bahia Principe Grand Tulum, Bahia Principe Grand Coba, and Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal.
The difference is in the number of restaurants, bars, and pools available at each one.
However, your experience won’t vary noticeably, no matter which hotel you stay at.
Guests are free to dine at all à la carte restaurants of the other hotels, with one exception: you can only use the buffet at your hotel.
There is an incredible barrier reef that you can reach from the shore for spectacular snorkeling.
For those who are not staying at the hotel, it offers a beach club, which I discuss in my post.

Tulum All-Inclusive Resorts FAQ
Is Tulum better than Cancun?
Not necessarily, it really depends on what you are looking for. I prefer Tulum for the beach, but you can read my post, “Cancun vs. Tulum,” where I list the main differences in detail, so you can choose which one is best for your needs and the kind of vacation you want.
What does all-inclusive mean in Tulum?
All-inclusive means that you have all the meals included as well as the majority of non-motorized watersports, fitness centers, and other services. Some hotels also offer scuba diving and a fine dining a la carte restaurant, but reservations are required in advance. Make sure you check the hotel fact sheets to learn what’s included before making a reservation-
Is it worth staying on the beach in Tulum?
In my opinion, it is worth staying on the beach in Tulum, because it’s the best part of the town. Downtown Tulum has little appeal, and even if you venture out to explore the surrounding area’s attractions, it is nice to return to your beach hotel and enjoy the views and a swim.
If you are concerned about Wi-Fi, nowadays almost all hotels offer decent Wi-Fi, even on the beach. However, you should ask before booking if this is a feature that is important to you.
Where do celebrities go in Tulum?
According to People, the popular gossip newslet, many different celebs have been spotted in Tulum’s top hotels such as Habitas, Azulik, and Amansala among others.
Is Tulum worth visiting?
Oh well, it’s worth visiting, but just be cautious, as the level of crime in Tulum has unfortunately increased. It breaks my heart to write this, but it’s the truth.
Stay in a nice hotel on the beach or Aldea Zama, and avoid going out at night and in dark, isolated areas, and you should be fine. Still, go out and explore during the day, either by car rental, or by joining a tour.
Tulum Beach remains spectacular, and even with Sargassum, you can still explore all the amazing cenotes and ruins in the surrounding area.
Tulum All-Inclusive Resorts – Final Thoughts
As you can see there are many world-class All-inclusive Resorts in Tulum. Before choosing your perfect place to stay in Tulum, make sure you read about the place, what’s included, and what it offers, and check out the pictures and the reviews from previous guests.
That will help close the gap between expectations and reality so that you will have a blast.
Also, keep in mind that there are many things to do and spectacular places to enjoy around Tulum. So make sure you drag yourself out of your exquisite place and make time to explore around!
Besides, even if you were staying at one of the Tulum all-inclusive resorts, I’d highly recommend going out and trying some of the restaurants in Tulum.
The town is home to some of the best restaurants in Mexico, and you’ll be missing out big time if you don’t sample the local cuisine.
